caught the Dim Sum Dollies with the guy at the Esplanade last night...
and i LOVED it...
every single bit of it...
though i thought the Playmill performances were slightly more intimate....
and therefore in a sense, more interactive...
this was, without a doubt, more expensive...
but really worth every penny...
especially if you're a Singaporean...

of course, there were the indispensable racial jokes...
but everyone knows that it was all in the name of fun...
and i guess...
with their execution...
in good humour as well...
now i'm kinda regretting the fact that this is my first Dim Sum experience...
having missed all last 5 or 6 performances in the past 6 years...
but then again...
the $70+ bucks spent per ticket...
didnt go down well with my bank account...
and even if it did...
my family sure put me on one hell of a guilt trip...

it's just mentality i guess...
my parents assert that they would never spend this kinda money on shows like this...
thats why my dad was of the opinion that the Esplanade will close down within 5 years...
but i really enjoy such acts...
wouldnt say arts...
dont think i'm at that level yet...
i enjoy good films, music, theatre (when affordable) and dance (if you count STOMP!)...
it really helps that the guy has good taste...
or we just happen to like the same stuff...
my iPod is synced to his iTunes...
now in order to minimise my guilt...
i'm torn between buying tickets for The Roots, Maroon 5 and The Pillowman....
help...
