finally sat down to clear my cupboards out of stuff that has been there for years... when i said years... i mean it... i found diaries from my lower secondary days... love letters... of love found and lost, or almost had... friendship notes, cards, letters and gifts... photos of family, friends and loved ones... it was kinda fitting... it being the Christmas season... reminiscing the old... cherishing the new and, hopefully, eternal... not in the literal sense of the word... but almost there... i truly had a good laugh reading my confessions of 'love'... or what i thought to be love in my diaries... and looking how horrible i looked in my teens... not that i'm much better looking now... but i think at least a little... i called serene in the midst of it all... just coz reading all her letters made me want to cry... i kinda trashed the diaries... but the photos and letters fit nicely into two separate shoeboxes... i lament the loss of contact with a large majority of these people... but i guess it's kinda inevitable... I Am Legend happened on Friday... it was PA's Trainers' Night... managed to get a ticket for the guy because another trainer couldnt stay... thought it was not bad... Will Smith was awesome... though like i told Nick, i spent half the movie hiding... whenever the zombies came out... and whenever i thought the zombies might be coming out... though i think zombies might be the wrong word to use... coz even though they feed on humans, they are really quite smart... Across the Universe at the AMK Hub today... i loved it... Beatles' song after song... the lead was awesome... loved his voice... loved the way they linked up the songs with a pretty good story... loved how they changed the tempo of I Wanna Hold Your Hand and into a sad song... told the guy to get me the soundtrack for our anniversary... we left ECP coz there was no wind in sight... although mr tan sms-ed me saying a south-west blew just as we left... i blame the guy for being a wind jinx... spent the time before the movie exploring AMK central... just realised it was one place that we has a bit in common... him spending his sec sch, JC and army days in that area... when i spent my JC days there... went around looking for places familiar to us... Western food, comics shops, Jubilee... it was comforting really... to check out the heartlands for a change... 3rd Jan marks our 3rd year together... doesnt seem like too long of a period of time... while we had some down times... it has mostly been great... he was playing Cranberries' Zombie just the other day... and asked me to sing... so i googled the lyrics and sung... we sounded like crap... but we had fun... i think thats the most important part... complementing each other... and having the time of our lives... ----Stef stopped rambling at 23:49 --Link to Post |
