i totally regret the fact that i didnt take enough photos... but it was a total hassle to carry the camera around... together with the phone so that i can direct people in... with no pockets and lanyards... it was crazy... i was leaving my camera and handphone , two of my most prized possessions, all over the chalet... the turn-out itself was not as good as expected i guess... about 10 people were sick... and some others decided to tell me on that day itself that they couldnt come... when they could have told me earlier and allowed me to invite more people... but oh well... the family was a great help... the guy and my sis' bf stayed over with us... and helped out with the deco, while minimal, and the scooping of the fruits... which we totally had fun with... i felt bad that they were constantly stuck at the BBQ pit.. but i made sure i fed them and gave them drinks... the family really felt bigger now... 7 people! think my parents are happy about that too... the more the merrier...  the family... mervin was the first person to reach the chalet... power la he... so i gave him the responsibility to teach my siblings mahjong... and my bro won twice out of three rounds... then came the rest of 0102... stella was tasked with the all important responsibility of doing up the backdrop coz i cant draw... and the evening took off from there....  AJ0102... not a bad turn-out i would say... though they stuffed themselves in the mahjong room most of the time... and my dad was constantly asking where are all the people invited... "nobody coming?"  TKG Basketballers... obviously i din manage to convince all 7 others to come... but oh well... it was still good to see all of them... not very stripey... but they had little things like striped hair ties and so on...  PA Windsurfers... this group is the most unstripey one lor... but glad they could make it... so that i wouldnt appear as the blackest one around...  Mr Tan and family... my shifu for 7 years and still going on strong... finally got my 21 year old gift! the gold windsurfer pendant that he custom-made years ago!  NUS Engin/USP... was expecting more though... from both sides, engin and USP... but Godwin, Pema and Suli were sick... Eric and Penelope couldnt make it... but i got a Munchie Monkey's treat in return!  Andrew and Melissa... worked with the former for Sea Sports Camp... and have since become crapping partners late nights while rushing reports and stuff...  NUS Windsurfers... plus the 3 more who came or left at ungodly hours...  Joey! who was rushing off to catch a bus to Genting!  Lyna... who came late coz she was waiting for the car to come home before driving it out...  Tesma... who was working late... they are truly the biggest group for the chalet... and their presents combined really covered the whole of my shameless wishlist... except for reformatting my laptop and accessories i think...  19th SC... they came over after everything... from Shouwen's party over in the North-East... quite touched really... coz i never told them about the party... although it's in big and bold letters on my blog... apparently they got Yuzhong to spy for them...  and as Wanqi says... the highlight of my party... the ultra yummilicious cake! Valrhona Delight! not alot of pictures but i had good fun... love the presents i received as well... the bikini from 0102... though i had to go treasure-hunt for the shop in order to exchange the piece coz it had a *eh-hem* suspicious looking stain on the bottom and confront the shopowner who gave me the look like i was the one who caused it... the Levis' Ladies teeshirt from Mervin... it's really pretty in bright yellow but the pricetag is damn scary! the $80 topshop card from the bballers... i used it to buy a top already and i love it to bits! the Bad Taste bear figurine from Andrew and Melissa... in the dominatrix costume no less! the black shoulder bag from the USP peeps... just in time, coz i think my faux Stussy one is dying already... the Urban Outfitter's tee and earrings from Diana... in baby pink and full of sequins... the white leather bag and "i only look innocent" teeshirt from PA Surfers... i totally love these... the bag is my new favourite... the Casio watch from Yijun and Lionel... the guy gave the watch a thumbs-up! thats rare you know? the NUM vintage Strawberry Shortcake teeshirt from Joel... beri beri nice!!! but i think the pricetag is crazy as well... even though he works there... vintage tees at NUM are so ex! the Dorothy Perkins' polka dotted top and brown leather belt, pink Braun Buffel wallet and Aztec bikini from the NUS Windsurfers... they played cheat coz the polka dotted top is something i tried on while shopping with the guy... but new wallet leh! so happy! a pair of Havainas from Peiching and Lisa... my fifth pair already! but i love it coz the colour is funky! the Garden Party White Papilios and a dozen Gerberras from the guy... *sobz* touched by the sandals... and i forced him to give me flowers... the "Follow your heart" book from the sibs... i think they think i very lost in life... (no bill from my parents...) that's a present too, especially when they paid for the whole party so far... a rough estimate was in the region of $1k for the entire thing... $$$ fly away... thankew everybody! you rock! ----Stef stopped rambling at 17:17 --Link to Post |
