thursday was an attempted tanning session with lala... for fear of people in swimming pools or sentosa being tortured with the pukifiable sight... of me... in a bikini top... we found a secluded enough water breaker off the East Coast... one which extended far enough to the sea... where we can watch for incoming beachgoers... and scream at them to go away should they approach... i was desperate to get the tanline off.... tanline wasnt... so all i got in the two hours before lunch... was another tanline... albeit a much lighter one... lala lost her phone while getting there... realised it when we alighted from 27... jumped on another 27 and chased the bus w/ handphone all the way down to the airport... caught the bus... but didnt catch the idiot who took lala's phone away... the backside! at least lala wasnt feeling all that depressed with the loss of her phone... hopefully the yummy hokkien mee and round after round of sugarcane juice at lunch... cheered her up abit... the way home was fine... i bored her so much... she feel asleep... as it usually is for her after starchy foods... AJ times with her favourite hokkien mee is proof... arrived back at home... rested awhile with the newspapers.... clipped my long yellowed nails... then had a long cold shower... damn shiok... was wad i was looking forward to... since we left the breaker... woohoo! met the guy and his dad for dinner at Buckaroo's... we learnt our lesson well with regards to the serving portions... so had a triple platter (chicken, ribs, steak) and a swordfish... yummy stuff... but his dad surrendered the rest of it to us... pretty early into the meal... still think it was freaking expensive... we didnt even have the clam chowder i had been contemplating the whole day... maybe Sizzler's would have been a cheaper alternative... but the ambience at Buckaroo's was amazing... tucked in the middle of ulu-fied Sembawang... the place reminds me of one of those huts along the beaches of Thailand... catered for the caucasian tourists... the pseudo breeze was good... heck... the fan was in my face... literally... his dad drove around the place... giving us a mini tour of how the place used to be like freaking long ago... coz he used to stay in the area... when the British still around... the colonial houses were superbly pretty... i was like totally awestruck... a mini history lesson... so cool... reminds me how my dad drives us around like that too... reservoir tours and such... it was a good evening... even though i was dumbstuck the entire time. ----Stef stopped rambling at 11:58 --Link to Post |
