first day at new job...
and it's been pretty cool... boss and his asst were on location for a shoot... so left pecilia and i... pple do come in and go... but it was basically just the two of us... she was kinda torn between teaching me stuff and finishing up stuff before she flies off tonite... but oh well... hope i did learn all that i have to... coz there's probably no one to ask anymore... she's the oni one handling all the paperwork... did say i was a fast learner and pretty sharp for details... *blushes* do everyone say that to everyone?!?!? oh well... but she's been nice... havent really had a chance to get to know chian and olivier better though... they came back pretty late in the day... boss' olivier... french guy who takes the photos... interesting fellow... told me that i must boss the cats ard so that they'll respect me... he's been pretty smiley so far.... but from what i see... i think he can be quite a fierce guy... oh well... just hope i dont step on his toes or something... in my 6 weeks here... he does remind me of the caucasion teacher in moulmein high though... chian's his assistant... a.k.a. guy in starhub and perfect 10 commercial... starhub: guy and girl discussing what to name their son... all the movie stars' names... or the print ad with the knitted sweater... JUSTIN KEANU TAN! *ding dong ding dong* perfect10: girl in convertible... guy jogging from behind... girl brakes... guy catches up and goes "GREAT STATION!" ya... gosh... i was shocked... almost choked on my wanton mee when pecilia told me... so good! i've got eye candy! pecilia's really pretty though... da kind who you'll point to in mags and say... "oh sooOOOooo preeetty!!" nice... and utterly helpful... treated me soya bean drink for breakfast... so i repaid the kindness with drink for lunch... interesting work really... pecilia has been doing production... eg. sourcing for props, talents, models, locations, et cetera... client liasion... and all the paperwork... cant fill her shoes entirely... so i'm mainly administrative... considering how i-dont-want-to-touch-microsoft-office the two other guys are... invoice stuff... quotations... follow-ups... meetings... i'm attending one with goldheart tmr... way cool! day today has been spent doing mostly no-brainers... photoshop-ping the talent files... fixing up the speed dial on the company phone... learning how to type stuff... filing... and who/what/how to call if i need models/talents/make-up/stylists... someone plz remind me to post that invoice out! i have an access card now... can get into the building... but no keys... darn... probably have to dingdong until olivier or chian gets the door tomorrow... or if they arent in... i'll dingdong until knockoff time, 6PM... the place is pretty cool... view of next to nuthing... but it's a loft... DUH! InCity Lofts... thats why! so the high ceilings are really nice... the two cats have been frenly... one jumped onto my lap on our first contact... is that frenly or wat!? boss' fren who was ard was nice to ask whether i wanted the radio on before he left for work... oh well... it's still to early to differentiate between really being nice and being civil becoz of unfamiliarity... watever the case... it's been good thus far... but hey hey... i've got msn at work... better if i got icq though... and i can use it blatantly coz it's my only contact with pecilia other than her phone... so yeay! i can chat if i got nuthing to do... till tmr... i should get back to studying my work... and not fall asleep during the meeting... ciaoz. ----Stef stopped rambling at 20:43 --Link to Post |
