080303 and 090303...
had the penang swimming club regatta... the others teams were preparing hard for the asian championships... but since we were there for experience... we joined the regatta as well... din have much competitiors... so by default me and qi got 1st and 2nd ladies mistral... dumb leh... but oh well... was quite surprised actually.... coz back in sg... i could never touch WQ in terms of skills... havent trained for very long... so was really lucky that i could beat her... hehhee... even beat sam and SK for one of the 6 races... damn freaking happie sia... OKA was damn nice lor... this indonesian surfer... asian games gold medalist... coz i wasnt sure of the finishing line... two boats had the finishing flag... then he pointed to me which way to go... damn thankful... he's da best... taught him how to make the leaf hopper... hehee... in malay... hahhaa... my malay cannot make it... but can teach... hahhaa... he was complaining that his fingers too big... ironman making leaf hoppers... thing is... oka is damn strong... he can hold SK's calves and lift him up like dat... for SK to tie something to the tentage... oka is damn freaking strong... you should see his arms.... SK's almost 60 kilos lor! pity that cant see the sunset from where we were... coz the sun sets behind the hills... which was cool actually... that the beach wont be so hot when we come back after the afternoon out at sea... the sand wont burn our feet like it did when we launched... while training it was quite cool actually... the jap sailors actually waited for us... to sail together... whcih was really cool... nice of them to do that... its alwaz nicer to sail in a bunch... you feel more secure.. that if anything were to happen... there'll be someone there for you... =) ----Stef stopped rambling at 13:44 --Link to Post |
